Respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information is a priority for VoltFarm. This notice explains, transparently, how we handle your data.

2. Categories of data collected and minimisation
In line with the data minimisation principle (Article 5, UK GDPR), VoltFarm only collects the information strictly necessary to handle your enquiry:
- Identification data provided voluntarily: first name, last name, email address, phone number and postcode, entered via our contact or quote request forms.
- Aggregated, anonymous technical data: basic browser and page-visit information, collected in statistical form for site maintenance.
3. Purpose of processing and lawful basis
Processing of your data is based on your freely given, informed and explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), given via the consent checkbox on each form.
Your data is used solely for the following purposes:
- Technical assessment of your installation and preparation of a personalised quote.
- Phone or email contact from a VoltFarm technician to follow up on your enquiry.
- Logistics and scheduling of mobile team call-outs.
- Handling complaints or support requests relating to your solar installation.
4. Security and no third-party sale
Your contact data is never sold, rented or passed on to advertising networks, data brokers or third-party commercial partners.
Data is stored on secure infrastructure located within the United Kingdom / European Economic Area. No transfer takes place outside the UK/EEA without the safeguards required by the UK GDPR.
5. Retention period
- For enquiries that do not lead to a booked service, data is deleted within 24 months of last contact.
- For customers, data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship and afterwards archived in line with statutory tax and accounting obligations (6 years).
- On request for erasure, identifying data is removed from our live systems within 30 days.
6. Your rights
- Right of access and rectification of your personal data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to data portability in a structured format.
- Right to restrict processing.
- Right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes.
To exercise your rights, write to privacy@voltfarm.pro. Requests are handled within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) – ico.org.uk.
7. Cookie policy
VoltFarm limits its use of cookies to what is needed for security, site operation and anonymous measurement of advertising conversions, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
